The roughly five-month closure covers major maintenance and infrastructure work across the 27-acre water park, and Universal currently plans to reopen on or before April 1, 2027 (earlier reports pointed to late March; Universal’s latest guidance says on or before April 1). The important part for families: this affects only the water park. Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Epic Universe, CityWalk, and all 11 on-site hotels operate normally all fall and winter — including Halloween Horror Nights 35 and the resort-wide holiday season (November 14, 2026 – January 3, 2027).
