Universal Epic Universe is not just a thrilling theme park; this brand-new theme park raises the bar regarding theme park food in the Orlando area. Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, which officially opened on May 22, 2025, offers a culinary journey across its five immersive worlds: Celestial Park, Super Nintendo World, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe. The park’s gastronomy is as adventurous as its attractions, with over 100 themed food and drink items across more than 30 dining locations.
With so many new food and beverage options across five themed lands, the park offers far more than popcorn and pretzels. The choices range from walk-up stands to full service dining in the Celestial Park area of Universal Epic Universe. Whether you are craving rich ramen, magical Butterbeer treats, or Viking-style feasts, this is your guide to the best food items you must try at Epic Universe.
This resource will walk you through some of the best Epic Universe food. We will start with the two table service (or full service, as Universal Orlando Resort calls them) dining options and then move to the highly themed quick service dining options. Notably, we will not be listing every good food item at Epic Universe. That would be a listing of almost every item on the menus at the new theme park. This list focuses solely on the best Epic Universe options, based on our chats with colleagues and personal experience.
Best Epic Universe Food: Full Service Menu Options
Celestial Park serves as the grand entry hub to Universal Epic Universe, setting the tone with upscale, imaginative cuisine. This area offers two full service restaurants, the Atlantic and The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant. Both restaurants represent significant upgrades in cuisine at Universal Orlando Resort.
Atlantic

The Atlantic restaurant at Universal’s Epic Universe offers a standout dining experience in Celestial Park, combining elegant seafood and steak dishes with a captivating Victorian aquarium ambiance. Here are some of the top menu items that have garnered attention:
- Sea Bass: A delicately prepared sea bass served with subtly sweet carrot mochi, crisp sugar snap peas, and aromatic lemongrass broth, garnished with starfruit slices for a tropical citrus note. The seared sea bass is perfectly golden on the outside and flaky inside, served with a delicate lemongrass broth, carrot mochi, and sugar snap peas. It’s elegant, flavorful, and feels like a full culinary journey.
- King Oyster Mushroom Ceviche (Vegan): A plant-based twist on traditional ceviche, featuring marinated king oyster mushrooms with tomato, cilantro, jicama, and lime, offering a tangy and refreshing flavor profile.
- Romesco Romanesco: Oven-roasted Romanesco paired with wild mushrooms and pea tendrils, served on a bed of fregola pasta with a rich hazelnut romesco sauce.
- Landlubber’s Snickerdoodle Loot: A whimsical dessert featuring snickerdoodle cake served in a beach pail, accompanied by cookie butter ganache, Biscoff cookie “sand,” and gummy sharks—perfect for younger guests or the young at heart.

The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant at Universal’s Epic Universe offers a vibrant dining experience, blending Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Korean flavors within a neon-lit, lantern-filled setting that evokes the ambiance of a perpetual night market. This restaurant has only been open for a few weeks. However, several food items stand out, which include:

- Tonkotsu Ramen at The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant – Possibly one of the best bowls of ramen in any theme park. This dish features rich, slow-cooked pork broth, chashu pork, shiitake mushrooms, a soft tare egg, and a spicy togarashi oil drizzle. It’s deeply satisfying and perfect for ramen lovers.
- Beef Xi’an Noodles: Hearty noodles infused with Szechuan spices and succulent beef, delivering a bold and spicy flavor profile.

Best Epic Universe Food: Quick Service Options

Quiche Lorraine at Café L’air De La Sirène
Many of the best Epic Universe food items come from the quick service options. With only two full service dining options, that makes sense. Also, this resource will not cover every good food option at Epic Universe. However, like we mentioned earlier, Epic Universe food should be considered as more than just theme park food.
Most quick service options at Epic Universe utilize a mobile order and table delivery system. For this, guests find a table and use the Universal Orlando Resort mobile app to purchase their food and beverages. The team members will bring the order to the table.
We will start our Best Epic Universe food tour in Celestial Park. In addition to the two excellent full service restaurants, Celestial Park presents guests with several quick service dining options.
The Oak & Star Tavern
The Oak & Star Tavern is a standout quick-service dining location in Celestial Park at Universal Epic Universe. This rustic yet refined barbecue joint offers a hearty menu packed with flavor. For those who like smoky-style barbecue, this place makes a solid choice.
One of the most talked-about items at The Oak & Star Tavern is the Mango Bread, a subtly sweet cornbread-like treat that’s both unique and comforting. Served warm, this sweet bread has a soft texture and tropical flavor. The standout entrée here is the BBQ Platter, which includes options like smoked ribs, pulled pork, cheddar jalapeño sausage, or spit-roasted herb-infused chicken. Accompanying sides, such as braised greens and macaroni and cheese, complement the meal.
Pizza Moon

Pizza Lunare
Universal Orlando Resort set out to create a better quick-service theme park pizza. Although that is a low standard, Universal Orlando achieved it with Pizza Moon. Set in a repurposed 1900s Victorian theater, Pizza Moon serves a variety of pizzas. The options include things like:
- Pizza Lunare – It features roasted garlic béchamel, ricotta, pancetta, fromage de lune, and garlic confit on a vibrant ube crust.
- Harvest Moon Pizza (Vegan): Features tomato sauce, grilled artichoke hearts, Divina tomatoes, roasted peppers, Castelvetrano olives, and arugula.
- A Trip to Vesuvio: Topped with pepperoni, fennel sausage, roasted peppers, caramelized onions, cherry peppers, Calabrian chili, arugula, and a drizzle of hot honey.

This quick service stand offers some elevated hot dogs. For example, the Bulgogi Dog is a fun twist on the classic with Korean-marinated beef, tangy slaw, and a toasted bun that’s crispy yet soft. There’s also a Smoky Carrot Dog at Comet Dogs, perfect for plant-based eaters, that packs a surprising punch.

Best Epic Universe Food: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
This section brings 1920s Paris from the “Fantastic Beasts” universe to life, and its food is a magical mix of traditional French and British wizarding fare. The best options in this world of Universal Epic Universe food include:
- Butterbeer Crêpe at Café L’air De La Sirène – This is arguably the most magical dessert in the park. It’s a warm French crêpe filled with Butterbeer cream, Bavarian cream, and shortbread cookie butter, topped with fresh strawberries, Butterbeer drizzle, and a Butterbeer cookie. It’s sweet, rich, and spellbinding. Additionally, the experience of dining at this French café, especially on the patio, enhances this sweet Wizarding World treat.
- Baguette de Dinde at Café L’air De La Sirène – This gourmet sandwich consists of cracked black pepper turkey, arugula, green apple slices, and creamy Brie on a crunchy baguette. It’s light yet indulgent, with just the right balance of textures.
- Quiche Lorraine at Café L’air De La Sirène – This savory and filling pastry dish with crispy bacon, caramelized onions, and Gruyère cheese baked into a flaky egg custard makes an excellent fuel source for any Wizarding World of Harry Potter day.

Le Gobelet Noir is located in the shadowy corners of Place Cachée in the Wizarding World area of Universal Epic Universe. This establishment offers a rustic ambiance where guests can enjoy hearty, European-inspired dishes. This hearty vegan option is a soul-warming bowl of lentils, vegan bacon, and root vegetables, served with a chunk of artisan bread. Even non-vegans will love it for its flavor and depth. Additionally, Le Gobelet Noir makes a great place to have a Bièraubeurre (Butterbeer).
Best Epic Universe Food: Viking Comfort Food

Thawfest Platter

The world of How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk offers several quick service gems. Viking feasts await in this stunning land, themed after the dragon-loving island of Berk. Guests should expect hearty portions and rustic flavors.
- Thawfest Platter at Mead Hall – This feast includes grilled chicken drumsticks glazed with wild berry BBQ sauce, salmon, sausage, Nordic fries, and roasted root vegetables. It’s one of the most filling meals in the park and incredibly flavorful.
- Nordic Harvest Salad at Mead Hall – A lighter but equally satisfying option featuring kale, arugula, red cabbage, blueberries, apples, and ancient grains, topped with trail mix and a raspberry vinaigrette.
- Stormfly’s Catch of the Day at Mead Hall – This cute, photo-worthy, and playful dessert comes in the shape of a fish. It is a rich chocolate mousse topped with colorful, crispy rice cereal, making it fun and delicious for all ages.

Mac & Cheese Cones
These can be found at Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel as well as at Spit Fyre Grill in the Isle of Berk. Guests can select from the Classic (mac & cheese topped with Goldfish crackers) or the indulgent PB&J Cone, featuring pork, bacon, and jam, or Dragon Fire Chicken Spire (creamy mac & cheese with Nashville style pulled chicken, hot honey, Calabrian peppers, chimichurri and crispy onions served in a crunchy cone). These all come in a bread cone. The bread tastes similar to a heavily buttered everything bagel. We suggest going with the PB&J Cone.
Best Epic Universe Food: Monstrously Delicious Meals

Hunter’s Garlic Pretzel Stake
The world of Dark Universe offers more than the Universal Classic Monsters. The food equals the theming of the land. This eerie land blends gothic horror with dark culinary magic. Fans of classic monsters will find food that’s both flavorful and fearsome, such as:
- Bits and Pieces at Das Stakehaus – This meatloaf skewer, made from wild mushroom brisket, is grilled and served with charred mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and a flavorful demi-glace. It is earthy, savory, and perfectly monstrous.
- Fish on a Stake at Das Stakehaus – A unique take on salmon, blackened and skewered, served with herbed rice and veggies. Great for seafood fans who want something bold.
- Hunter’s Garlic Stake at Burning Blade Tavern – A twisty, cheesy garlic pretzel stick with a bold garlic dipping sauce. Vampires beware.
Best Epic Universe Food: Honorable Mentions

Mario Burger
Several other food items are worth mentioning for visitors to Universal Epic Universe. However, we find them less tasty and enjoyable than the previously mentioned items. For example, guests dining at Toadstool Café in Super Nintendo World should consider the Mario Burger or the Luigi Burger (Pesto Chicken Sandwich). Another decent option at Toadstool Café is the Bowser’s Fireball Challenge, which consists of a one-pound meatball topped with mozzarella cheese, served with mushroom marinara sauce, Bowser puff pastry, parsley, and hot sauce on the side.

From whimsical bites in Super Nintendo World to fine dining in Celestial Park and magical sweets in the Wizarding World, there’s truly something for everyone. Whether you’re a foodie, a theme park junkie, or just hungry after a rollercoaster ride, these top dishes guarantee your visit will be both unforgettable and delicious.
